We have changed some of the services used to protect our network. After our last upgrade many users noticed that the services were continuously performing a /ctcp version on them for no appearant reason at all. Needless to say that we've been very troubled with this behaviour as well and now we finally replaced the offending services. If you experience any troubles or have questions please don't hesitate to tell us on #nekonet.

Our statistic and protective services have been upgraded. (StatServ, LogServ, SecureServ, etc.) which means that some functions may have changed, and as such our website's services description might not be fully up to date. We've found one annoyance which is people getting '/ctcp version' scans on join. We're sorry for the possible inconvenience but do hope you'll bear with us. The security of our network is a big concern to us.

We have now officially launched the new website by replacing our previous tikiwiki with this mediawiki. The main reason for this move is that mediawiki provides less overhead with features which are probably never used anyway (thus making things a lot faster). Next is the somehow more saner approach; as you can see our Image gallery is back in action and this time working without bugs.
All in all we think to have made a change for the better.

At this moment there isn't much going on apart from some servers which will be moved to other networks in the near future, thus having to undergo a change of IP adress.
